Jane Fleming

REALTOR | Associate Broker

This is a short Q and A with Jane Fleming, Realtor with Abernathy Cochran Group.

Please tell us a little bit about your family.

I grew up in Gainesville, but I was married and lived in the City of Decatur for 30 years where I raised my children and became deeply involved in the revitalization of our little city. I have 2 adult children and my Daughter works at Georgia Tech in Athletic fundraising and my Son is married and is the Director of Supply Chain Ecosystem for the Metro Atlanta Chamber.

Please tell us about your current career.  Thing you love most about what you do.

My current career has been” with me” for a long time! In Atlanta/Decatur, I remodeled 4 homes and built 2. I feel like we were flipping houses before “flipping was cool”. I got my real estate license in 2001 and have been a full time realtor since then. I have sold many houses, building lots, commercial lots and large tracts of land to be developed. I work with Buyers and Sellers. I love introducing people to Gainesville/Hall County. After living in Atlanta for 30 years, I feel like I fell in love with Gainesville and North Georgia as an adult.

I think we have the best place to live and I enjoy the lifestyle so much.

Question: What inspired you or led you to your current career?

Answer: I really enjoyed buying and fixing up older homes and going through the creative process of figuring out what we could do to make them look great AND I liked doing it on a budget.

I call it “Beauty on a Budget”!
