Meet Brady Mac VanTassel! Brady is a recent Gainesville High School graduate. He plans to attend the University of Alabama in the fall. His parents are Daphnie and Michael Barron and Mark VanTassel.

Question: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Answer: “My Parents are Daphnie & Michael Barron of Gainesville and Mark VanTassel. I have an older sister, Lillian, a little brother, William and a baby sister due in July.”

Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: “Attending the University of Alabama in the fall.”

Q: What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A: “Mellow Mushroom and Atlas.”

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: “France, because of the architecture.”

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: “Movie, ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once;’ TV Show. ‘Barry.’

Q: If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
A: “My advice to younger students would be, if there is a class or club you possibly think you might enjoy, don’t be afraid to take it or join. Don’t feel like you have to conform in the same studies or interest as your friends or peers.”

Q: If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
A: “‘Stranger Things.'”

Q: If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
A: “Steven Spielberg so I could learn about his creative directing techniques and we would go to Mellow Mushroom.”

Q: What is your favorite thing about our community?
A: “The friends I’ve made.”

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “Skydiving.”

Q: What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
A: “The Weekend or Tyler The Creator.”

A: “September, Halloween and 5th of November.”

A: “A Dairy Queen Biscuit.”

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
A: “My Mom.”
