Meet Charlotte Garrand! Charlotte is a recent graduate of Flowery Branch High School and will attend Georgia Tech in the fall and study Biomedical Engineering. Her parents are Chris and Kathleen and she has one sister, Ava.
Q: What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A: “Two of my favorite restaurants are Si Fu Ginger and Mellow Mushroom.”
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: “If I could travel anywhere I would go to Europe because I could explore so many places easily and quickly.”
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: “My favorite movie is ‘Meet the Robinsons’ and my favorite tv shows are The Real Housewives.”
Q: If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
A: “To remember that you are the one that got you to this point so always believe in yourself and be proud of yourself.”
Q: If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
A: “The Real Housewives.”
Q: If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
A: “If I could have lunch with anyone I would have lunch with Dolly Parton because she is inspiring and gives back to her community and our country. I would take her to Moonie’s Texas Barbecue.”
Q: What is your favorite thing about our community?
A: “I love the opportunities that it gives for people of all ages to grow and learn through local programs.”
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
A: “I plan to be going to grad school for Genetic Engineering and then graduating to become a genetic engineer in crop science.”
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “I want to climb a mountain because I feel like it is a challenge but will also connect me with nature.”
Q: What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
A: “Taylor Swift because she has a song for every feeling.”
Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
A: My favorite month is July because it’s my birthday month, my favorite holiday is thanksgiving because of the food and family, and my favorite day on the calendar is July 11th because it’s my birthday and 7/11.”
Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
A: “I would rate my cats 10/10 because they are always there for me and they’re adorable.”
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
A: “My mom because she believes in me but always pushes me to be my best.”
