Meet Bennett Crowell! Bennett recently graduated from Flowery Branch High School.
Question: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Answer: “My Mom is from North Florida and my Dad is from Tennessee. I have a younger sister we are 17 months apart and a dog named Monkey. And yes that’s his name. I’m also very close with both sets of grandparents.”
Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: “My plans are to save up as much money as I work towards owning my dream truck and investing some money into land of my own to be able to hunt and fish off of.”
Q: What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A; “My two favorites are El Sombrero and Waffle House.”
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: “I’ve always wanted to go on a safari hunt in South Africa. I’ve see very cool hunts on TV and my taxidermist goes yearly and talks about how awesome it is. I would go to South Africa and hunt because in Africa the seasons are backwards and there hunting season is during our summer so I wouldn’t miss on deer season back in the states.”
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: “‘Eastbound & Down.'”
Q: If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
A: “Work ethic isn’t a skill, it’s a decision. My work based learning teacher Mrs. Carter said this one time and it’s stuck with me.”
Q: If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
A: “It would be a fishing and hunting show with me and all my buddies showing all of our shenanigans.”
Q: If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
A: “I would like to have lunch with Matt Robertson, a professional bass fisherman. He seems like he would have some good stories to tell. I would meet at the local Waffle House.”
Q: What is your favorite thing about our community?
A: “I like how small it is.”
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
A: “Hopefully still working for Kubota making good money.”
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “To go deep see fishing for sword fish or inshore fishing for giant hammer head is Florida.”
Q: What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
A: “I will listen to George straight or Hank Williams Jr.”
Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
A: “My favorite month is November, that’s because that’s when the big bucks come out cause it’s rut.”
Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
A: “Hooking and landing a big bass.”
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
A: “My grandmother.”
