Meet Jessica Wade. I met her officially face to face in August at Inman Perk in downtown Gainesville, where we met for coffee. She has been around the real estate business for many years. Jessica is married to Phillip Wade and together they have three children; Justin, 24, Andrew, 22, and Madison, 18. ~Brad Abernathy

Here are twenty questions with Jessica:

Question: What do you do for a living and what do you like most about it?

Answer: “I am a real estate agent and I love helping my buyers and sellers through the process and I also love mentoring and encouraging others to be all they can be!””

Q: What advice would you want to give or leave with people? Or , If you could go back in time to give yourself some wisdom, what would you say?

A: “Don’t be so shy, Dream big, and go for your dreams!! You never know what you are capable of until you try.”

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

A: “I see myself pursuing a dream of speaking on stages and encouraging others to be all they want to be. I also think I will have a large impact on the real estate community and maybe at some point I will become a grandma.”

Q: If reading for pleasure, what do you like?

A: “I like non fiction, mindset, productivity and spiritual books.”

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?

A: “Iceland. I want to see the Northern Lights from there.”

Q: What is the most beautiful place in the world you have already visited?

A: “Utah.”

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?

A: “John Maxwell and I would take him to Antebellum. I would love to spend time with John because I love the impact his books and podcasts have had on me as a leader. Every time I read one of his books I get more inspired and even emotional. I would love to tell him Thank You for following God’s calling on his life and the encouragement he has given me.”

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?

A: “Sweet Magnolias, Longstreet Cafe, and Mediterranean Breeze.”

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?

A: “My parents moved to Gainesville from Michigan when I was in 2nd grade. I have lived in Hall County ever since.”

Q: Who, in our community, do you think is happy and positive and would be a great next interview for this project? This person will be your nomination!

A: “Justin Arnold.”

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?

A: “I love all of the parks and walking trails Hall County has and I can’t wait for the Islands to Highlands trail system to be complete.”

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?

A: “‘You’ve Got Mail’ and ‘Shark Tank.'”

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?

A: “Watching the sunset from the middle of the ocean while on a cruise ship.”

Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?

A: “Journey.”

Q: What is something on your bucket list?

A: “Learn to play the drums.”
