Meet Paige Ackerman! Paige is the Gainesville Jaycees belle candidate for the 2016 Charity Ball. A Gainesville High senior, Paige is a member of the National Honors Society, Beta Club, and the Varsity Tennis team. After school, Paige works at the local J.R. Criders on the square. Next year Paige will attend the University of Arizona and is super excited about going to school out west!

Recently we caught up with Paige to ask her a few questions about herself and the Hall County community.
Question: What made you want to do charity ball?
Answer: “My sister was involved with Charity Ball when she was a senior in high school so I got to watch her go through the process and have so much fun while meeting new people and making new connections.”
Q: Why is Feeding our Future an important charity here in Hall County?
A: “Feeding our Future is a crucial charity for Hall County because it brings families strength while helping to end child hunger.”
Q: What is your favorite restaurant in town and what do you love there?
A: “My favorite restaurant in town is Mellow Mushroom, I love the Maui Wowie pizza!”
Q: What is your favorite social outing?
A: “My favorite social outing would have to be the homecoming dance or prom because the whole school gets together and I love dressing up!”
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? Why?
A: “I would love to travel to India to experience a new culture that I find interesting.”
Q: What is the first movie you remember seeing in a theatre or your favorite movie?
A: “My favorite movie is the Polar Express just because of the hot chocolate scene!”
Q: What advice would you give a crowd of people?
A: “I would give a crowd of people the advice to never take life too seriously and remember to enjoy it.”
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “Something on my bucket list is to cliff dive in Santorini Greece.”
Q: What 3 bands or artists would you love to see?
A: “Concerts are my favorite thing so I have already seen my three favorite artists/bands- the Red Hot Chili Peppers, John Mayer, and Mac Miller. But my favorite concert memory would be getting to go to Jazz Fest with my dad!”
Q: What is your favorite thing about Hall County?
A: “My favorite thing about Hall County is how there are so many friendships between all of the different high schools in the area.”
Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: “After graduation I will attend the University of Arizona in Tucson!”
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 or 10 years?
A: “In 5 years I will have graduated from University of Arizona and hopefully be in grad school. In 10 years I hope to be working in marketing and living in San Diego.”
Paige is hosting a jewelry trunk show on Thursday, December 8th from 2pm-8pm (drop in) at the home of Wendi Simpson, 2495 Club Drive. She encourages you to come out and shop for a cause!
