Meet Lydia Ladd! Lydia is a recent graduate of Mountain Education Charter High School. After graduation she plans to attend the University of North Georgia.

Question: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Answer: “I was raised in a Christian home, celebrating God for all he had done for us and going to church is what my childhood was build of. My parents and grandparents supported me in everything I did and would be at every sporting event I had.”

Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: “My plans for after graduation is to go to UNG and become a special education teacher for elementary school.”

Q: What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A: “I love Wild Wing Cafe and Pueblos.”

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: “If I could travel I would go to Uganda because I have always wanted to go there since my family took in a child from Uganda for a little while, when I was little.”

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: “My favorite movie would be any Disney movie and my family tv would have to be ‘Cobra Kai.'”

Q: If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
A: “Take advantage of all the duel enrollment you can and stay focus on your dreams.”

Q: If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
A: “‘All American’ for sure.”

Q: If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
A: “My grandma, she passed away a couple years ago and I just wish I could have had more time with her. I would take her to Olive Garden.”

Q: What is your favorite thing about our community?
A: “I love how our community has so many parks.:

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
A: “I see myself as a teacher at a local elementary school, and with a family of my own.”

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “Go to Uganda and go back to Nicaragua are on my bucket list.”

Q: What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
A: “MercyMe would be my go to band.”

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
A: “Favorite month would be June, I love hot weather. Favorite holiday would be Easter, Jesus died and rose from the grave for my sins. My favorite day on the calendar is January 1, the day I gave my life to Christ.”

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
A: “My friends would be 10 out of 10.”

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
A: “My family and friends inspire me to be better.”
