Meet Savannah Regnier! Savannah recently graduated from Flowery Branch High School and plans to attend the University of Georgia in the fall.
Question: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Answer: “I have an amazing mom that’s such a big role model to me. She’s currently finishing up her last year in law school and I couldn’t be more excited and proud of her! My sister Heather is also finishing up her first year at The University of Colorado of Law and my brother Trystan is graduating from Georgia State this May. My little brother Jonathan has his 8th grade graduation coming up and got accepted into Marist for high school. I have an amazing and supportive family and can’t wait to see all of the great things that they do.”
Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: “After I graduate, I will be attending the University of Georgia in the fall! I can’t wait to be in Athens and I plan on pursuing a degree in Dietetics.”
Q: What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A: “My all time favorite restaurants are La Casa del Taco and Antebellum here in Flowery Branch. My friends and I go to La Casa on a weekly basis because it’s just that good.”
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: “If I could travel anywhere in the world right now, I would go to Italy or Greece. I have always been interested in their art and the history, and it’s such a beautiful place.”
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: One of my favorite movies is ‘La La Land.’ I could listen to the music soundtrack all day it has some of my favorite actors.”
Q: If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
A: “My advice is to stop and enjoy these years that you have with your family and friends. I think we get caught up in worrying about the future and stressing about school and what we want to do, but no matter what path we take, everything will work out and it’s important to enjoy the life we have.”
Q: If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
A: “If I could be in a show, it would be ‘Yellowstone.’ My mom got me hooked on the show and I could see myself on a ranch in Montana.”
Q: If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
A: “If I could have lunch with anyone, it would always be my mom. We have pretty busy schedules that don’t always line up with each other, but any free time I have I want to spend with her. She’s always been my rock and go-to person for anything. We love sushi so anywhere we can find some would be the place to go.”
Q: What is your favorite thing about our community?
A: “What I love about our community is how close we all are. I have friends from many different Hall County schools, and even though I don’t see them everyday, I know that they’re always there for me when I need it.”
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
A: “In the future, I see myself living in a city somewhere, possibly Atlanta. I’ve always loved big cities and I feel like there’s something new everyday. I would like to be able to travel, but I am just looking forward to the journey and where life takes me.”
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “The top of my bucket list is going skydiving. My brother did it and I am a little jealous of him, so first chance I get, I want to go.”
Q: What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
