Meet Reed Slack! Reed is a recent Gainesville High School graduate and plans onĀ attending Georgia College and State University in the fall and major in marketing. His parents are Tennent and Kelly Slack, and he has one brother (Tennent).
Q: What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A: “Consuelo and Mellow Mushroom.”
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: “I would travel to anywhere in Europe but if I had to pick one I would say either London or France.”
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: “‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘American Sniper.'”
Q: If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
A: “I would just tell them to keep working hard and not to give up. I think it can be hard sometimes to keep yourself motivated when it comes to school but if you can just stay focused and get through it then it is all worth it.”
Q: If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
A: “‘Family Guy.'”
Q: If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
A: “I would want to have lunch with Kobe Bryant because he has a lot of knowledge and I think I could learn a lot from him. I would probably want to meet him at Consuelo.”
Q: What is your favorite thing about our community?
A: “The people in it.”
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
A: “Hopefully done with college and in a job that I enjoy.”
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “Skydiving.”
Q: What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
A: “Elton John.”
Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
A: “May is my favorite month because that is when school is starting to wrap up and itās just a super rewarding feeling after you have finished a tough school year. Favorite holiday is Christmas and my favorite day is March 24th which is my birthday.”
Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
A: “10/10 for me would be going to play sports with my friends. Whether that be golf, tennis, or basketball I love going to play with a group of my friends.”
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
A: “My mom and dad.”
