Meet Emma DeLong! Emma is a senior at North Hall High School. Her parents are Matt and Lori DeLong. Emma will be attending the University of North Georgia in the fall.
Please tell us a little bit about your family.
“My parents, Matt and Lori DeLong have been lifelong residents of Hall County. My father is a salesman and owns a business called Metro Office Technologies. My mother is a hairdresser at Imperial Salon.”
What are your plans after graduation?
“After I graduate, I plan to attend the University of North Georgia to major in Nursing.”
What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
“Pueblos and Bluefin.”
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
“If I could travel anywhere in the world right now, I would travel to Greece. I want to travel there to see all of the beautiful historical places.”
What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
“‘Friends.'”
If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
“I would say never take this time for granted because you never realize how quickly it goes by until it’s gone.”
If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
“‘Friends.'”
If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
“If I could choose anyone to meet for lunch I would choose Donald Trump. I would ask for advice on how to successfully grow a business or any other helpful tips. I would meet him at the Collegiate Grill.”
What is your favorite thing about our community?
“My favorite part about our community is that we rally together and help anyone in need of support without hesitation.”
Where do you see yourself in five to 10 years?
“I see myself traveling across the country as a successful Medical Salesman.”
What is something on your bucket list?
“One thing I have always wanted to do is learn how to surf.”
What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
“If I can’t decide what I want to listen to, I always listen to Jamey Johnson.”
Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
“My favorite month of the year is May because everyone is getting out of school and everything is still blooming but it’s not too hot outside yet. My favorite holiday would have to be Christmas because you get to see all of your family and celebrate Jesus’ birthday. My favorite single calendar day is May 14th because it’s graduation day!”
What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
“I would rate a beautiful day put on the lake with friends a 10 out of 10.”
What is something you want to do as soon as this pandemic is finished?
“Once the pandemic is finished I want to go on a trip with friends.”
Who inspires you to be better?
“My parents inspire me to be better because they support me through everything and push me to be a better person.”
