Meet Caleb Zeiler! Caleb is a senior at Cherokee Bluff High School. In the fall, he plans to attend the University of North Georgia.
Please tell us a little bit about your family.
“I am part of a family of three. It is my Mom, Dad and me. We love to spend time together outside. We take golf cart rides in the summer time as well as go to the lake. We go riding around in the winter time to look at all of the Christmas lights. My family and I also love the holiday times because we are able to see family that we do not get to see very often.”
What are your plans after graduation?
“My plan after graduation is to attend the University of North Georgia. I will major in Marketing or Business to help down the road with any work pathway I chose to take.”
What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
“My two favorite restaurants are Smoke House BBQ as well as Wild Wings.”
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
“If I could travel anywhere it would be to Hawaii. I would love to go there because I have heard that the views are breath taking. One of the things that I have always wanted to do is surf. I believe it would be great in Hawaii.”
What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
“My favorite movie is ‘Talladega Nights’ and T.V show is ‘Outerbanks.'”
If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
“I would say to be yourself. Do not put on a mask and try to be someone that you are not. For some people it is finding out what and who you are.”
If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
“‘Outerbanks.'”
If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
“One person that I would Love to have lunch with is Kevin Hart. He is so funny and I would love to talk to him about what it took to get to the point that he is at now as well as where he thinks he will be in the future. I would take him to Smoke House because I could show him a place that I grew up eating at and because the food there is amazing.”
What is your favorite thing about our community?
“How everyone treats people like they are family.”
Where do you see yourself in five to 10 years?
“Having a job and a home for me and my new puppy live in.”
What is something on your bucket list?
“To go skydiving.”
What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
“Luke Bryan.”
Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
“My favorite month is December, because the way that the town looks when it is all lit up with all of the Christmas lights. My favorite day of the year is Christmas Day because everyone is happy and I get to spend time with my family and friends.”
What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
“Going to new places that I have never been to.”
What is something you want to do as soon as this pandemic is finished?
“To eat with all of my Friends and Family at the same table.”
Who inspires you to be better?
“My Dad because of the amount of work and drive that he puts into everything that he does.”
