Meet Brennan Sweet! Brennan is a senior at Flowery Branch High School. He plans to attend the University of Georgia in the fall.
Please tell us a little bit about your family.
“I live with my mom, dad, brother and sister. I also have two dogs and two cats.”
What are your plans after graduation?
“I am attending the University of Georgia for a degree in Music Therapy.”
What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
“I love Atlas Pizza and Tacos Tacos.”
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
“I would love to go to Japan. I was supposed to go on a school trip but COVID happened. So, I would love to go back, especially right now during the cherry blossom festival.”
What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
“I love Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. And I don’t watch a lot of TV so I would just say Harry Potter in general.”
If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
“Do what you love because you never know what it can blossom into.”
If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
“I would want to be in Pokemon. I think the idea of having a companion like a Pokémon would be super enjoyable.”
If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
“I would love to have lunch with President Barack Obama. He seems like a super kind person with a lot of interesting ideas. I would take him to get Atlas Pizza because it’s a great atmosphere in the Gainesville Square and because the food is great.”
What is your favorite thing about our community?
“My favorite thing about our community is the connections between the high schools. There is little bad blood between any of the high schools, which I don’t think is normal.”
Where do you see yourself in five to 10 years?
“I would love to be working in a school system as a music therapist in either a middle or high school.”
What is something on your bucket list?
“I want to learn to play piano and guitar.”
What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
“Jacob Collier.”
Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
“My favorite month is June because that is when my birthday is. I love thanksgiving and Christmas because I get to see my family. And I love the numbers 3 and 9 so March 9th is just a nice sounding day.”
What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
“A nice day with friends by a creek or flowing water of some kind.”
What is something you want to do as soon as this pandemic is finished?
“I want to be able to come to school without a mask or any kind of restriction. It makes band class much more difficult.”
Who inspires you to be better?
“My mom. She’s the hardest worker I know. She’s getting her college degree while also working full time to pay for that degree and being a mom. Yet she still puts in all the same efforts at home and I love her for that.”
