Meet Kate Costello! Kate is a senior at Flowery Branch High School. She will be attending Georgia College and State University in the fall. Her parents are Sean and Laurie and she has one brother.
Please tell us a little bit about your family.
“I am part of a family of four. My mom, Laurie, my dad, Sean, and my brother, Drew. Both of my parents push me so hard to do well academically and are so supportive of me and they are the reason I have made it this far.”
What are your plans after graduation?
“I am going to Georgia College and State University to study nursing. I also plan on minoring in Spanish and studying abroad.”
What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
“Shogun and Chili’s.”
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
“I would absolutely love to travel to Africa. I love going on mission trips and spreading the word of Jesus and to be able to just love on the kids is my favorite.”
What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
“My favorite movie is ‘The Blind Side.'”
If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
“Some advice I would give is to keep pushing. School can be a hard place for some people but it is absolutely so rewarding to know that you’ve made it to your senior year and can go out into the real world on your own.”
If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
“‘Criminal Minds’ as a detective.”
If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
“I would love to have a lunch with Sadie Robertson. She is so positive and is an amazing speaker and I would just love to hear her testimony and how she got to where’s he is today. I would meet at J. Christopher’s because it’s a cute place to get brunch and they cook southern foods and she grew up in the South.”
What is your favorite thing about our community?
“I love how close our community is. Everyone knows everyone which makes everyone have a sense of being at home by being comfortable around everyone.”
Where do you see yourself in five to 10 years?
“In 10 years I see myself married with kids as a Nurse Anesthetist.”
What is something on your bucket list?
“Climbing a volcano or a mountain in Hawaii.”
What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
“Justin Bieber.”

“May, Christmas, and graduation day.”

“Chick-fil-A chicken nuggets.”
What is something you want to do as soon as this pandemic is finished?
“o to a Justin Bieber concert.”

“My parents.”
