Meet Lauren Latimer! Lauren is a senior at Flowery Branch High School, her parents are Mickey and Donna Latimer and she has one brother. She plans to attend college in the fall.
Please tell us a little bit about your family.
“My parents are Mickey and Donna Latimer. My dad works for AT&T and my mom recently retired from Hall County Schools. I also have an older brother named Luke who is a singer/song writer and performer.”
What are your plans after graduation?
“After graduation I plan to attend college to become an ultrasound tech sonographer.”
What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
“My two favorite restaurants in my community are probably Texas Road House and Wild Wing Cafe.”
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
“If I could go anywhere in the world right now I would go to Europe and visit Italy and Greece because they look so beautiful.”
What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
“My favorite movies are the Twilight series and my favorite TV show is ‘The Office.'”
If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
“I would tell my senior class and the younger students at my school to always be yourself and not worry about what anyone else thinks and to always be kind to others.”
If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
“I would want to be cast on ‘Blacklist’ on Netflix.”
If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
“If I could have lunch with anyone I would choose my great grandma because I never got to meet her and everyone in my family always talks about how great she was. I would have lunch with her at Collegiate Grill on the Gainesville square.”
What is your favorite thing about our community?
“My favorite thing about our community is all of the new developments.”
Where do you see yourself in five to 10 years?
“In five to 10 years I hope to see myself with a successful career and home of my own.”
What is something on your bucket list?
“One thing I have always wanted to do is explore the ocean so it would be super cool to go deep sea diving.”
What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
“Whenever I donât know what to listen to I usually turn on throw backs from the 90s like Weezer and Foo Fighters or Iâll turn on Morgan Wallen.”
Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
“My favorite month is probably December because it includes Christmas and my birthday.”
What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
“I would rate any gummy candy a 10 out of 10.”
What is something you want to do as soon as this pandemic is over?
“I want to go to a concert as soon as the pandemic ends.”
Who inspires you to be better?
“My mom is someone who inspires me to be better because she is the most loving person Iâve ever met.”
