Meet Lexie Richemond! Lexie is a senior at Gainesville High School and will be attending the New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in the fall. Her parents are Fritz and Fritzlande Richemond and she has four brothers and a sister. We want to congratulate Lexie and her family on her upcoming graduation and best wishes in the future.

Question: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Answer: “My parents are Fritz and Fritzlande Richemond. I’ve have four brothers and a sister.”

Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: “I plan to attend the New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in the fall and major in musical theatre.”

Q: What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A: “My two favorite restaurants are Chick-fil-A and the taco place inside of Carniceria Tapatia.”

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: “Bora Bora. I have no clue where it is but from the pictures I’ve seen the water is crystal clear and the island is beautiful.”

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: “My favorite movie is ‘The Breakfast Club’ and my favorite show is ‘The Office.’”

Q: If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
A: “Don’t let your fear of failure be the reason you don’t succeed. No matter how many times you get knocked down and told no, always get back up and try again.”

Q: If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
A: “I would want to be cast in ‘Steven Universe.’”

Q: If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
A: “I would choose to have lunch with my best friend Amanda. We always do everything together and a day with her is always a good one. We would go get tacos because we both love tacos.”

Q: What is your favorite thing about our community?
A: “I love how friendly everyone is. Gainesville is such a wholesome community where everyone is always willing to help everyone.”

Q: Where do you see yourself in five to 10 years?
A: “I see myself being apart of an original Broadway cast getting ready to open for the first time.”

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “Travel all 50 states.”

Q: What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
A: “Louis Armstrong.”

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
A: “My favorite month is October. My favorite holiday is St. Patrick’s Day. My favorite single day on the calendar is my mom’s birthday.”

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
A: “Authentic Mexican tacos.”

Q: What is something you want to do as soon as the pandemic is over?
A: “I would love to go swimming.”

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
A: “My older brother. He was the first one in my family to graduate both high and college.”
