Meet Allison Vandiver! Allison is a senior at Gainesville High School. Her parents are Eric and Tara Vandiver and she has an older sister and younger brother. Allison plans to attend Kennesaw State University in the fall.

Please tell us a little bit about your family.
“I am the daughter of Eric and Tara Vandiver. I have an older sister Heidi, and a younger brother, Connor.”

What are your plans after graduation?
“I plan to attend Kennesaw State University to pursue a BFA in musical theatre.”

What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
“El Sombrero and Alpha Gyro Grill.”

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
“Greece because i have always loved to food and culture.”

What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
“‘Napoleon Dynamite,’ ‘Gilmore Girls.'”

If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
“I would tell them to be them selves and to be friends with everyone. Life is too short to live in your comfort zone.”

If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
“Rory Gilmore, ‘Gilmore Girls.'”

If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
“I would chose to have lunch with Prince. I would want to hear from him personally about his life story and how he felt about his success.”

What is your favorite thing about our community?
“My favorite thing about our community is how everyone comes together and supports each other through everything.”

Where do you see yourself in five to 10 years?
“Teaching or Professionally performing.”

What is something on your bucket list?
“To sing at an opera house with a full orchestra.”

What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
“Sturgill Simpson.”
