Meet Erica Tran! Erica is a senior at Flowery Branch High School. She plans to attend Furman University in the fall.
Please tell us a little bit about your family.
“I am in a family of five. Me, my sisters, and my parents. My parents immigrated from Vietnam. I have two sisters, my older sister is in college getting her master’s and a younger sister in middle school.”
What are your plans after graduation?
“I plan to attend Furman University in South Carolina and pursue a career in Nursing.”
What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
“Chick-fil-A & La Parilla.”
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
“I would want to travel to Vietnam to see my relatives. I haven’t visited Vietnam in 13 years so it would be nice to see all my family members over there.”
What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
“‘Brooklyn Nine Nine.'”
If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
“In the beginning, you may think you want to get high school over with as soon as possible, but let me just say it goes by so quick.”
If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
“‘Vampire Diaries.'”
If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
“I would want to have lunch with Jeff Bezos because I would want to learn more about businesses and how I could become more successful.”
What is your favorite thing about our community?
“The support our community shows when things happen.”
Where do you see yourself in five to 10 years?
“I see myself working in an office with either a plastic surgeon or dermatologist.”
What is something on your bucket list?
“I want to road trip across the country.”

“Nav.”
