Meet Maddie Frazier! Maddie is a senior at West Hall High School. Her parents are Jeremy and Wendy Frazier and she has a brother and a sister. Maddie plans to attend Georgia Southern University in the fall.

Please tell us a little bit about your family.
“My family is my rock. I wouldn’t be where I am without them. My parents are Wendy and Jeremy Frazier. I have a 13 year old brother named Nathan and a 4 year old little sister named Annie. We also have a crazy labradoodle named Boomer.”

What are your plans after graduation?
“I plan on attending Georgia Southern University and majoring in theatre. I want to become a theatre teacher one day.”

What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
“I love Sho Gun in Flowery Branch and Nichols Diner in Oakwood.”

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
“I would travel to Greece because I’ve always wanted to travel there. I think that it’s a beautiful place and I’d love to see the historical parts of it, as well as the beaches. Greece has amazing people and food.”

What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
“I am obsessed with ‘The Vampire Diaries’ and ‘Wandavision.'”

If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
“I would tell them to work hard to achieve their aspirations. If you set your mind to something, you can achieve it as long as you work for it. Sometimes, things happen and life doesn’t go our way, even though we’re doing our very best but I’ve learned that everything happens for a reason and to trust the process.”

If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
“I would 100% cast myself in ‘High School Musical’ the Musical the Series, because I love theatre and ‘High School Musical.'”

If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
“I would want to have lunch with Adam Sandler at Pig Tales. I feel like I would laugh until I couldn’t breathe if I went to lunch with him because I love all of his movies. I chose Pig Tales because it has really good food and good outside eating.”

What is your favorite thing about our community?
“My favorite thing in our community would have to be the friendships I’ve made. I know they’re with me for a life time and I know I can always count on them.”

Where do you see yourself in five to 10 years?
“After graduating from college, I’d love to come back and work in Hall County with my theater teacher now, Heidi Rider.”

What is something on your bucket list?
“I have always wanted to visit the Grand Canyon and go white water rafting in the river they have there.”

What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
“I can never stick to a genre, let alone a band/singer. I move from country and rock to pop a lot. Currently my favorite is either AC/DC or Jason Aldean.”

Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
“My favorite holiday would have to be Christmas because I love how it brings everyone together and I love the true meaning of Christmas.”

What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
“I would give my Vera Bradley keychain a 10/10 because I take it everywhere with me.”

What is something you want to do as soon as this pandemic is finished?
“I want to be able to have people together again, like in theaters, or the malls and just enjoy people’s company. See each other’s facial expressions once this pandemic is over.”

Who inspires you to be better?
“My nana, Nancy Clark. She is my absolute favorite person in the world and makes me a better person with just a smile.”
