Meet Morgan Pierce! Morgan is a senior at Chestatee High School and plans to attend the University of North Georgia in the fall. Her parents are Brenton and Amy and she has one sister.
Please tell us a little bit about your family.
“My parents are Amy and Brenton Pierce, my sister is Hannah Pierce, and my grandparents are Elaine and David Pierce and Susan Mincey and Billy Chapman. I’m so incredibly blessed to have them as my family. I honestly do not know what I would do without them. They’re so supportive and they love me so much.”
What are your plans after graduation?
“I plan on attending The University of North Georgia to study business and marketing as well as getting my certification in event planning.”
What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
“2 Dog and Longstreet.”
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
“I would travel to New York City. I love New York. It is so vibrant and I love how diverse it is. There’s so much to see and eat. I love exploring and trying new things.”
What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
“‘Mamma Mia’ and ‘The Vampire Diaries.'”
If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
“Always be kind and live with Jesus Christ as your foundation.”
If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
“Probably ‘The Vampire Diaries.’ It seems like it would be a lot of fun and there always something going on.”
If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
“I would want to have lunch with Rosa Parks. I would choose her because of her courage that she had. I would want to have lunch at 2 Dog.”
What is your favorite thing about our community?
“I love the local shops, restaurants, and people that are in our community.”
Where do you see yourself in five to 10 years?
“In five to 10 years, I see myself running my own business and traveling the world. I would like to have opened my own venue and have started planning and hosting events. I hope I am still super close to my family. Also, I don’t know how traveling the world and running a business will work but I can dream.”
What is something on your bucket list?
“Travel the world.”
What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
“Justin Bieber.”
Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
“May is my favorite month, my favorite holiday is Easter, and I like any days that are sunny and warm.”
What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
“Sunshine and ice cream.”
What is something you want to do as soon as this pandemic is finished?
“I would love to do some more traveling.”
Who inspires you to be better?
“My grandmother, Elaine Pierce (Bama), inspires me to be better.”
