Meet Pairlon Dunagan! Pairlon is a recent Cherokee Bluff High School graduate and plans to attend College of Coastal Georgia in the fall. Her parents are David and Thea DuBose.

Please tell us a little bit about your family.
“My parents are Thea and David DuBose and they are my absolute favorite people on this planet. I am so blessed that I have the relationship that I do with my parents, we are so close and I consider them to be my best friends. I also have a little brother, Walker. He has a heart of gold and I would do anything for him despite other typical brother sister arguments arguments. I also have 3 cats who are the loves of my life.”

What are your plans after graduation?
“I will be attending College of Coastal Georgia to get a degree in Business and Marketing.”

What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
“Mellow Mushroom and Chick-fil-a.”

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
“Definitely the beach, it’s my favorite place to be.”

What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
“‘Vampire Diaries’ is my favorite show at the moment and my favorite movie is ‘Moana.'”

If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
“Treat everyone the way that you want to be treated and always go into things with a positive outlook. If you go into a class and immediately think that you aren’t going to do good or that you won’t make friends, you most likely won’t. Always think positive and be nice to everyone you come in contact with because they will be more willing to be nice back.”

If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
“‘The Bachelor.'”

If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
“If I could have lunch with anyone I would choose my grandma who is in heaven. I would take her to The Collegiate Grill because it’s such a friendly environment and we could sit for hours and catch up while eating delicious food.”

What is your favorite thing about our community?
“My favorite thing about our community is all the smiling faces and the good ole Southern hospitality.”

Where do you see yourself in five to 10 years?
“In five to 10 years I hope to have started to build my own business and maybe be in the process of starting a family.”

What is something on your bucket list?
“Something on my bucket list is to travel somewhere out of the country and explore.”

What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
“Whenever I can’t decide what to listen to I just hit shuffle on all of my music and a variety of people like Lil Uzi Vert and Luke Combs could come on at anytime.”

Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
“I would say my favorite month is September because it’s in between summer and fall and football season starts! My favorite holiday is New Years because you kind of get a refresh button to decide how you want to start the new year and watch fireworks. Best single day on the calendar is my mom’s birthday because she’s my inspiration everyday and I love celebrating her.”

What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
“Cheesecake.”

What is something you want to do as soon as this pandemic is finished?
“Go to Rolling Loud, Coachella, or any kind of concert.”

Who inspires you to be better?
“I wouldn’t be the person that I have grown to be without my parents. They inspire me to be my best self on the daily and do what makes me happy.”
