Meet Jack Ramsey! Jack is a senior at Flowery Branch High School and he plans to attend the University of Georgia in the fall. His parents are Richard and Denise and his brother is TJ.
Please tell us a little bit about your family.
“I am a part of a family of four. My brother, TJ, is two years young than me and both my parents, Denise and Richard Ramsey, work at Flowery Branch. We love to spend family time together and go do activities like hiking.”
What are your plans after graduation?
“I plan to go the University of Georgia and major in Business Management with the desire to work specifically in Sports Management.”
What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
“Johnny’s New York Style Pizza and Pigtails.”
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
“I would love to go to Italy because I am Catholic and my mom’s side is Italian so it would be cool to go somewhere that has all those connections to myself and my family.”
What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
“My favorites movie is ‘A Few Good Men’ and favorite TV show is ‘Psych.'”
If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
“Nothing great is going to be handed to you, so be willing to work harder for what you want to achieve.”
If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
“‘Law and Order’ as a guest detective.”
If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
“I’d love to have lunch with a sports personality like Scott Van Pelt. He has been around all sports for so long and I would love to hear who he met and how he separated himself in a sports related field. I’d take him to Pigtails because he lives up north and I’d want to treat him to good barbecue by the lake.”
What is your favorite thing about our community?
“I enjoy that our community is so close knit. Through my years running cross country, I have developed strong friendships with athletes from around the county.”
Where do you see yourself in five to 10 years?
“The plan would be to be married and she starting a family while working in a sports related career path.”
What is something on your bucket list?
“I want to go to a Super Bowl.”
What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
“Either Sister Hazel or Train.”

“September, Thanksgiving, Last day of school.”

“Starburst Jellybeans.”
What is something you want to do as soon as this pandemic is finished?
“Go to a concert.”
