Hello Everyone!
I hope your OCTOBER has been terrific! I hope you are safe and well! Let’s be done with the hurricanes storming through NE Georgia. I am grateful for each of you and hope we all get a chance to visit together one day soon in the future.
Earlier in October we had our first Partner meeting on Zoom. Many of you were there and it was an exceptional discussion. If you missed it, you can watch it by clicking on the link below.
We have another Partner meeting in November. We will send the invite to you soon.
Brad
Keep It Simple. Build a Wide Base.
Build the base of your project with people you know well.
  1. These are people that will say yes, easily.
  2. They will be glad to help you.
  3. They will be honored you thought of them, too.
  4. The larger your base, the better and faster your project will take off.
  5. Make sure one of the questions you ask the people you know (and everyone you interview) who they would nominate as one of the most interesting and happiest people they know in your town. Keep these people on your list to begin calling after you are happy with the base you created.
  6. Creating a large base for your project can be done anytime. Whether you are brand new or have been doing this for a while.
Who do you know that are happy people in your town in every age range?
Spend 5 minutes writing down a few of these people. Since you already know them you have their contact information.
Call them.
Tell them your intro.
“Hey. I am working on a wonderful community project. It is the story of our town, told through our people, one smiling face at a time. It is called The Faces of _________. I want you to be a part of this. I will ask you a few questions about you and things you love about our town.
Then tell them you will send them the interview to fill out.
You are the AUTHOR of the story of your community. You will be the only one telling the story of your community through its people, one smiling face at a time.
The message is: Your community is much more than the streets and buildings. Your community is defined by its people. You are weaving together a story of your community one person at a time.
Everyone in your community will want and hope to be a part of this story.
The Faces Of Your Town
We were challenged
to create a short film
about the spirit of
The Faces Of. We
are proud of the
final version.
I would love to hear
your thoughts!
‌
Print the message of your THE FACES OF project on the back of your business card. I have given out hundreds more cards since I did this. I lead with this side of my card. It is an enormous ice breaker.
If you want these business cards, send me a message. We have a source for you!
If you have not gotten a copy of my book where I talk about the creation of The Faces Of, send me a message with your name and home address and I will make sure you get one.
This is a short story about the creation of The Faces Of Hall County Georgia. Why we did it. What happened. Why its the best thing I ever did in a 26 year real estate career. And why I decided to share this with you.

The Faces of Hall County Georgia
This is a short Q and A with Rosemary Hancock, Office Manager for Abernathy Cochran Group. Most of you have had some contact with Rosemary and I wanted you to all know a little more about her. She is terrific, keeps us in line, and is one of the most the most friendly and helpful people you will ever meet.
Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I have been married to the smartest person I have ever known for 5 years. Blake knows so much, about so much! We met while living in Atlanta, he was a student at Georgia Tech and we had mutual friends. We have 1 son, Grady, who is 3 years old and who is funny beyond description! Never have we known someone with such personality! Our family also includes many fur babies! (3 cats, 2 dogs).
Please tell us about your current career. Thing you love most about what you do.
I am the office manager at Abernathy Cochran group, which I love. I really enjoy helping each of my agents in different ways-they are all so unique and have unique needs, I pride myself on meeting those needs. I am also the Faces of Your Town office manager. This position is super fulfilling. I have met people all over the world through this project, which has been wonderful!
Question: What inspired you or led you to your current career?
Answer: I zig zagged my way here! I did different creative jobs in the art community in Atlanta, along with restaurant management, and when I moved back home I needed to find my place. A friend recommended I submit my resume and here I am! It ended up being a perfect fit!
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in Hall County?
A: I love Eat At Thai. You can find me there eating soup at least once a week at lunch! I also love to go to Atlas for their salads.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
A: I grew up here, lived in Atlanta for 10 years, and I have been back for about 6 years.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
A: That’s a hard question. I have met so many people. I like Tommy Aaron a lot, I think he has the best personality.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: Cuba or Nicaragua. Cuba is super affordable and somewhat stuck in time-it fascinates me. But I am also dying to see the Rainforest in Nicaragua.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: Jackie Brown is my favorite movie.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
A: I guess it would be that if you think negatively, then you will be negative. And that influences the people around you. So try to think positively. Perspective is everything.
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: To take my dad to Angkor Wat.
Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
A: Right now it is Rainbow Kitten Surprise. This answer changes regularly.

A: Saint Ives.
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
A: Ruth Bader Ginsburg; She inspires me to be assertive and independent. Eat at Thai. (This was answered several months before Justice Ginsburg’s death).
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
A: I like that in just a few moments, I can be in the mountains.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
A: Hopefully debt free and traveling often; Still working with the same work family I have now, helping them all succeed.
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
A: I build bone art. They are little sculptures made from animal bone.
Q: What 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
A: Grady, messy and comfortable.
Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
A: Moab, Utah-I LOVE Arches National Park.
Q: If you were cast in a movie and could choose your costar, who would it be?
A: Jason Bateman.
Q: Favorite month? holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
A: October, Christmas, and hmmmm….
Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
A: Right now, this Indian restaurant that I tried in Asheville a couple of weeks ago. It was amazing. Also, this band I’m into, Rainbow Kitten Surprise. And my bangs.
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
A: Grady-my son, because he really raised the awesome bar to a whole new level.
Q: What is one or two of your favorite smells?
A: Lavender and my grandmother’s lotion.
Q: If a movie was made of your life, who would you want to play you?
A: I don’t know. Someone silly, I think.
Q: What is the best thing about being a part of our real estate group?
A: All of the different personalities. And how much we laugh.
