Meet Jessie Moose! Jessie is a senior at North Hall High School. Her parents are Barry and Kerry Moose. After graduation Jessie plans to attend the University of Georgia. We want to congratulate Jessie on her upcoming graduation and best wishes in the future.

Question: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Answer: “My mom is a paralegal at Steward Melvin and Frost as well as a dance teacher for Heather Wayne Performing Arts Center. My dad works for Koch Foods and my sister, Katie, works for Moxie, a marketing agency in Atlanta.”

What are your plans after graduation?
A: “I will be attending the University of Georgia studying journalism and religion.”

Q: What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A: “Longstreet and Johnny’s Barbecue.”

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: “Brazil; I have always been intrigued by the scenery and culture there, and I have wanted to visit the statue, Christ the Redeemer, in Rio de Janeiro for a very long time now.”

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: “‘Little Women’ is my favorite movie and I love the TV series ‘Stranger Things.'”

Q: If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
A: “To my senior class, I would say that although this is very sad that our senior year isn’t ending the way we expected. In 10 years, this won’t matter and there are so many bigger things ahead for all of us, so we shouldn’t
stress too much. To the younger students at North Hall, I would say remember to work hard for your future, but also to enjoy your high school experience and take it all in, because before you know it will be time to move on.”

Q: If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
A: Most likely Stranger Things because I feel like I would get along with the cast very well.

Q: If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
A: “C.S. Lewis at Inman Perk. I have been reading a lot of his books lately, and I am very curious as to how he came up with his stories. I feel like he is a very insightful person, and I would love to ask him for advice and hear
him talk about his life.”

Q: What is your favorite thing about our community?
A: “I love how wherever you are in Gainesville, you are bound to see someone you know. Everyone knows each other, that’s what makes living in this community so special and inviting.”

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
A: “I am not sure what I want to do out of college, but I see myself working in some field of journalism or somewhere working in ministry, whether that be Young Life or in a local church.”

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “I am tempted to say sky diving, but my mom will read this and that will give her a heart attack. So I would say writing my own book.”

Q: What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
A: “I have a very wide variety of music that I listen to, so this is difficult to pick, but I would have to say either Lauren Daigle or Harry Styles.”

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
A: “My favorite month is May, my favorite holiday is Easter, and the best single day on the calendar would be opening day for football season.”

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
A: “Chia latte from Inman Perk.”

Q: What is something you want to do as soon as this pandemic is finished?
A: “Go get coffee with my YoungLife leader and friends.”

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
A: “Definitely my parents and my community group at Corinth Church.”
