Meet Molly Couvillon! Molly is a senior at Gainesville High School. She will be attending Appalachian State University in the fall. She is the daughter of Sam and Margie Couvillon and has one sister, Sarah Grace. We want to congratulate Molly on her upcoming graduation and best wishes on her future endeavors.

Question: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Answer: “I’m the youngest in my family! It’s just me, my older sister Sarah Grace, and my mom and dad Margie and Sam Couvillon! And our two dogs Frankie and Sadie. There is never a dull moment in our house!”

Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: “I will be attending the Appalachian State University to the fall and plan on studying psychology in hopes of one day working as a therapist in an inpatient hospital specialized in eating disorders.”

Q: What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A: “Definitely Sweet Magnolias and Blue Fin.”

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: “I’ve always said I wanted to go to Australia! I love Australian accents, I could listen to an Australian talk for hours. I also think it would be super cool to go sailing along the Great Barrier Reef.”

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: “My favorite movie is ‘Space Jam’ hands down, who would have ever thought to put Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny in a movie together? It’s brilliant! And my favorite TV show is probably FRIENDS, just because I love the
dynamic of the show. Watching how the characters interact sort of reminds me of my own friends.”

Q: If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
A: “Say hi to everyone in the fall even if you don’t really know them, tell someone you like their shoes if you do, if a teacher made an impact on you let them know…you never know what someone is going through and that one
comment could make their day!”

Q: If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
A: “I would want to be Meredith Grey from the TV series ‘Grey’s Anatomy.’ Meredith is caring, funny, and owns that she doesn’t really have life all figured out, and that’s okay. I love those qualities so I would cast myself as her.”

Q: If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally,
would you meet for this lunch?
A: “Demi Lovato.”

Q: What is your favorite thing about our community?
A: “I love how the community is so close knit. You always know somebody through someone else! Gainesville makes the world seem so big but also so small.”

Q: Where do you see yourself in five to 10 years?
A: “That’s a tricky question to answer, if I’ve learned anything it’s that life doesn’t typically goes as planned so I just hope to be happy and healthy and can’t wait to see what the future brings!”

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “I would love to travel around the world and do missions work some day.”

Q: What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
A: “This is a hard question, probably Harry Styles.”

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
A: “Favorite month would be June. Favorite Holiday is Easter. And my favorite single day on the calendar will be whenever we first get out of quarantine and everyone will reconnect, I think that will be a very happy day!”

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
A: “Monday nights at Young Life for sure!!!”

Q: What is something you want to do as soon as this pandemic is finished?
A: “Hug my friends super tight and just enjoy quality time together outside!”

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
A: “My lovely friend Suzanne Smith. For the past few months I have been in recovery for an eating disorder and Suzanne never fails to remind me what a life in full recovery can look like. When times are tough and I feel like
giving up I can always count on Suzanne to give me hope and motivation to push through. She is seriously the best. Everyone needs a Suzanne in their life!!”
