Meet Cody Bradford! Cody plays football at Flowery Branch High School and will play football at West Point in the fall.

We want to thank Cody for spending time with us recently and telling us more about his life.

Question: Please tell us a little bit about you and  your family.
Answer: “I like to compete and get better everyday and push everyone else. I love spending time with my family and my friends and just being outdoors. My dad is Jason Bradford and my mom is Cheryl Bradford and my two sisters are Faith and Maegan.”

Q: What is your favorite thing about Flowery Branch High School?
A: “I’ve been playing football with these guys since I was 4 years old, just growing up with your friends and playing football, it’s pretty good family.”

Q: Why do you love football?
A: “…I’m very competitive so winning games is probably the best part.”

Q: Can you tell us about your competitive nature? And what is your motivation to really work hard in competition?
A: “I started when I was young but I know my self esteem is pretty good and we made to the Super Bowl every single year but we always lost. So I think making it in a Super Bowl at a young age and losing kind of drives you to really work harder.”

Q: When did you start playing football?
A: “I was 3 or 4.”

Q: How did you get it to the sports?
A: “My dad played football back in high school, but I had to choose between baseball, football and basketball so I  chose football.”

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Hall County? And what do you love there?
A: “The Dawg House and I’d like to order some Lemon Pepper and Teriyaki wings.”

Q: Who is your favorite teacher or coach? And why?
A: “Definitely my offensive line coach, Coach Warbington. He started to push me to in my freshman year , he pushed me to work harder, he basically help me get way in today. Also, Coach Thompson who helps me a lot with recruiting.”

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about Hall County?
A: “I’ve been here all my life so I would probably say the people, everybody is very welcoming and very nice and everybody watches and supports football which is great. Also, it’s like a small town that everybody knows everybody.”

Q: Is there anything that you really like to do here a lot in Hall County?
A: “Go fishing in Lake Lanier.”

Q: What is one lesson that you have learned from your sports?
A: “There’s a bunch I could give but I would probably say that nothing is given, nothing comes easy, you have to work for everything and always keep working to get better everyday.”

Q: What is you advice to younger athletes playing football?
A: “Enjoy it because nothing lasts forever.”

Q: What made you choose West Point as your school?
A: “First of all, the academics there is insane. Another thing is, they have a top notch football program and they’re on Top 25 every single year. It’s been my dream to be a playing football and serving our country and getting a good degree; all those come together which is just perfect.”
