Meet Travis Davis! Travis is the vice president of Commercial HVAC sales at Lawson Air Conditioning & Plumbing. He is married to Ashley and his parents are Vince and Debbie Lawson.
We want to thank Travis for spending time with us recently and telling us about his life and love of Hall County.

Question: Please tell us a little bit about your career?

Answer: “I’m the vice president over Commercial HVAC Sales at Lawson Heating & Air. I’ve been in this position for four years but I’ve been working in the company for 10 years now. I made my way up through several different divisions within the company, service technician, residential sales.”

Q: What do you like about your industry?

A: “Being the third generation of the company, I’ve always been drawn to it, not that I have preference or anything but it’s just constantly changing and a bit evolving within our district. It’s a small town, but as far as HVAC goes within the small town there’s a little bit of everything.”

Q: Tell us a little bit about your family.

A: “My parents, Vince and Debbie, both work within the company. And then my wife, Ashley, we’ve been together for three years now. We don’t have kids yet though, we have a dog.”

Q: What is one of your favorite things about living in Hall County?

A: “I guess just the sheer accessibility of it, being 45 minutes away from the mountains or an hour or 30 minutes away from the busiest airport in the world, and the city and country life you can get to within an arm’s reach. It’s such an ideal spot, but still has that local feeling that everybody knows each other, you can’t go to the grocery store without bumping into at least 10 people you know.”

Q: What are some of your favorite restaurants in Hall County?

A: “I’ve got to go with Mellow Mushroom and Longstreet.”

Q: Who is one of the most interesting people that you’ve met in Hall County?

A: “I’d say my grandfather, it’s crazy how many third generation customers that we have and hearing from those long time customers and friends of my grandfather, how great he was professionally and personally. I only got to know him for a short period of time as grandpa, but not in the mechanical industry as a whole.”

Q: What is something on your bucket list?

A: “I want to go and explore the Swiss Alps.”

Q: What’s the first you can remember seeing in the theater?

A: “I think one of the ‘Toy Story’ movies.”

Q: Where do you see yourself in five to 10 years?

A: “Here at Lawson, continuing to grow the legacy and pushing this industry forward.”
