Meet Beth Henson: mother, painter, registered nurse, photographer, assistant coach and SEC basketball champion as a University of Georgia Bulldog. We thank Beth for allowing us to pull her away from her busy life to ask her a few questions.
Question: How many years have you lived in Hall County?
Answer: I grew up in Hall County since age 7. After college I returned to raise my family.
Q: Can you tell us a little about your career?
A: I am an RN and I work with NGPG (Northeast Georgia Physicians Group) here in Hall County. I also am a photographer and an artist. I am working on painting executive portraits and murals. My largest mural is on the walls of First Baptist Church’s Family Life Center and my current mural project is in the Hall County Animal Shelter.
Q: Who’s the most interesting person you know here in Hall County?
A: My dad, Taylor Henson, is the most unique person I know.
Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: “The Truman Show”
Q: What is the song that reminds you most of home and Hall County?
A: “Eye of the Tiger”
Q: Who are the top three musicians you would want to see perform, alive or dead?
A: Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Tupac Shakur.
Q: If you could take a trip anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?
A: The exotic Island of Bali
Q: If you could give a crowd of people a piece of advice right now, what would you say?
A: “Listen to your parents. Stay in school. Have some fun while you’re at it.”
Q: What’s your favorite of social outing in the Hall County area?
A: I love taking my son to the Dahlonega Zoo and when I have a babysitter I love to enjoy the live music events in our community.
Q: If you could go to lunch with anyone in the world (alive and non-family member), who would it be?
A: Mariah Carey.
Q: If you could only eat at one place in Hall County for a week, where would it be?
A: The Inn Between Deli
Q: What former local business makes you feel the most nostalgic about Hall County?
A: Clores Restaurant on the Square
