
She plans on attending the University of Georgia or the University of Mississippi this fall.
Shannon is representing the Braselton Rotary Club in Charity Ball this year and in the past she has been involved with the Georgia Mountain Food Bank and The John Paul II Center.
“It (being a belle) is a great opportunity to give back to my community that has given so much for me,” she said.
We recently spoke to Shannon about her life in Hall County and her likes and interests.
Question: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met while living in Hall County?
Answer: “My super cool friend/boss Suzanne Doty. Anyone that has met her would probably agree that she is the most interesting person they’ve met as well. She’s the best!”
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?
A: “Probably Alberta, Canada.”
Q: What is your favorite social outing?
A: “My favorite social outing would be getting a bunch of friends together and going out on the lake.”
Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: “Probably the ‘Hunger Games.’”
Q: What advice would you give a crowd of people?
A: “Appreciate the small things.”
Q: When have you felt the most satisfied in your life?”
A: “Being a counselor at YMCA Camp High Harbour for the last three summers.”
Q: What three bands would like to see, dead or alive?
A: “I don’t have a specific favorite type of music, but three bands I would like to see are Fleetwood Mac, Florence + the Machine and One Direction.”
Q: Choosing anyone alive and non relative, who would you love to have lunch with tomorrow?
A: “Taylor Swift, for sure. Who wouldn’t want to have lunch with Taylor Swift? She’s awesome.”
Q: What is your favorite thing about Hall County?
A: “My favorite thing about Hall County is the small town feel, everyone has grown up together therefore it’s like a big family. I’m thankful for the friends and memories I’ve made throughout these years.”
