As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Myra Muckle spends her days giving all of herself to help others. “I was led by God to Black Bear Lodge.” And that is where she went after spending years working for Hall County. Myra is in the business of being of service to those in need. She is a woman of faith, family oriented, a wife and mother, a strong member of her church; Rucker Memorial, and our community.
We recently met with Myra ask her questions about her life, interests and love for Hall County to share with fellow members of our community.
Question: If you could only eat at one place for an entire week in Hall County, where would it be?
Answer: “IHOP. I love breakfast food.”
Q: How long have you lived in Hall County?
A: “My whole life. 50 years.”
Q: What former local business makes you the most nostalgic about Hall County?
A: “Fair Street Elementary School and the Fair Street Pool. It was the only pool near my neighborhood when I was a kid and my brother and I loved going there.”
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met in Hall County?
A: “Deshaun Watson. He was one of the students when I worked at New Holland Elementary. Even then he was always a gentleman.”
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?
A: “India.”
Q: What song most reminds you of Hall County?
A: “’We Will Rock You,’ it reminds me of the GHS football team in the 80s.”
Q: What is your favorite social outing in Hall County?
A: “I enjoy going to the mall during Halloween. I love to see the babies in their costumes.”
Q: What is your favorite thing about Hall County?
A: “For the most part, everyone still knows everyone.”
Q: What is your favorite movie? What is the first movie you remember seeing in the theatre?
A: “My favorite movie is ‘The Bodyguard,’ and the first movie I remember seeing is ‘Jaws.'”
Q: What advice would you give a crowd of people?
A: “Your past doesn’t matter. It doesn’t define who you are. Everyone deserves a second chance.”
Q: If you could have lunch with anyone, alive and a non-relative, who would it be?
A: “Taraji P. Henson.
- Why?”She started her journey as a single mother and still went on to pursue her dream. She proves that there is no excuse.”

- If lunch cancelled, where would you take them to dinner? “Luna’s”
