Faces of Hall County: Landon BrockmeyerLandon Brockmeyer, the self proclaimed “Hot Dog Slayer,” grew up in Lawrenceville and has lived in Hall County for over 10 years. He owns the most recent food truck to enter the Hall County food truck scene with his business The Hot Dog Ninja.
The Hot Dog Ninja cart has been spotted all over Hall County serving up piping hot street food like the Chilinator, a hotdog with chili, jalapenos and sour cream, the Pimento Cheese Dream hot dog and many more.
“The love of food and the fact that I love serving people is what led me to this new venture,” Landon said.
Outside of Landon’s work life, he has been married to Lisa for 11 years and they have a 10 year old daughter, Lauren.
We recently caught up with Landon to find out more about his love of the area and his interests.
Question: What is the best part of Hall County?
Answer: “The best part about Hall County for me is the small town feel. I enjoy going to places like church, grocery store and my daughters school and knowing people. And I love that there is no traffic in South Hall.”
Q: What is your fondest memory of Hall County?
A: “My fondest memory of Hall County will always be raising a family here.  My wife and I purchased our first home and we raised our daughter in Hall.
Q: What is your favorite Hall County Landmark?
A: “Chick-fil-A in Oakwood. This is where my daughter and I share every Tuesday morning together for breakfast. We have been doing it for years.”
Q: Even for friends and some family, what is something about you that not everyone knows?
A: “I always wanted to attend culinary school.”
Q: What are some events that shaped your life?
A: “First, the death of my father when I was 18 pressured me to grow up and be mature. Second, meeting my awesome wife and having a child has showed me that the world is not just about me. Third, attending 12 Stone Church and recommitting to follow my Savior over six years ago. Fourth, being poured into by 12 Stone leadership.”
Q: Where do you hope to be in five years, 10 years?
A: “In five years, my hope is the business is self sustained and employing a few people. With a few people it will free me up to spend even more time with my family. In 10 years, wow…retired and doing mission work.”
