Kathie FutrellKathie Futrell has been in Hall County for 23 years and is originally from Wisconsin. Kathie is the firm administrator for Willis Investment Counsel in Gainesville. We asked one of her coworkers about her most notable quality and she said: “Kathie has a huge heart. She helps out so much in the community and is constantly seeking to do good for other people.”

Question: What local business makes you the most nostalgic about Hall County?
Answer: “The newspaper, I worked there when I first moved here, and I have happy memories of that — it forced me to get out and meet people and become a part of the community.”
Q:  If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be?
A:  “England, I have a friend there that I would love to see.”
Q:  What piece of advice would you give to a crowd of people?
A:  “Never take yourself too seriously.”
Q:  What is your favorite movie?
A:  “Pretty Women.”
Q:  Who are the top three musicians you would want to see in concert?
A:  “Elvis, The Beach Boys, and Rod Stewart.”
Q:  What is your favorite social outing in Hall County?
A:  “I enjoy dining out, there are several good places to eat in the area.”
Q:  What is your favorite thing about Hall County?
A:  “The people.”
Q:  When have you felt the most satisfied in your life?
A:  “Right now, because I have things in perspective. I like what I do and know who I am.”
Q:  What is something on your bucket list?
A:  “Ride in a hot air balloon.”
Q:  Where do you see yourself in 5 or 10 years?
A:  “Retired, traveling, painting, and spending more time with friends.”
Q:  What is your favorite thing about Hall County?
A:  “Lake Lanier, the people, the parks — it’s all beautiful.”
