lauren-tymchukMeet Lauren Tymchuk. Lauren is representing the Gainesville Kiwanis Club in this year’s 2016 Charity Ball. “I wanted to participate because the funds raised go towards Feeding Our Future. The Feeding Our Future charity in Hall County feeds meals to children each weekend. I wanted to be a part of something as impactful as this.” Not only is Lauren incredibly dedicated to her community, she is equally dedicated to her school. She is a competition cheerleader and a soccer player. Lauren is an FCA leader, in Interact Club member, and involved in a number of academic achievement based clubs. She is very invested in ministry through her attendance at Corinth Baptist Church. We’d like to thank Lauren for her dedication to the Hall County community and for telling us a little about herself.
Question: Why did you want to participate in Charity Ball?
Answer: “The Kiwanis Club needed a belle representative, and my dad asked me if I would be interested. I looked up previous belles and did a little research to figure out what Charity Ball was about. By being a belle candidate, I could serve others and be a part of something that helped so many families in need.”

Q: Why is Feeding Our Future an important charity here in Hall County?
A: “Feeding our Future is an important organization in Hall County because it focuses on the needs’ of the students once they leave the classroom. Many kids leave school on Friday afternoons unsure of where their next meal will come from. Proper nutrition is important for both the body and the mind, and Feeding our Future helps with the development in education of these chronically hungry children.”

Q: What’s the first movie you remember seeing in a theater?
A: “The first movie I remember seeing in theaters was probably Finding Nemo.”

Q: What advice would you give to a crowd of people?
A: “The advice I would give to a crowd of people would be to always seek God first, and he will take care of everything else.”

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “Something on my bucket list would be to travel to all of the continents at least once. This way, I could say that ‘I’ve truly been all over the world.’”
