Thirteen years ago, stay-at-home mom, Vicky Moore, stumbled across a video on the internet. The video was of a girl who had been rescued from
sex trafficking and she was telling her story.
“She wasn’t asking for a free handout, she wanted to learn how to do something, how to work,” Vicky said.
Shortly after, Vicky started Rahab’s Rope.
“Rahab’s Rope is a nonprofit that works with women and children who are at risk, and rescues them from sex trafficking in India. We employ women and they hand-make the products that we sell in our stores,” Vicky said.
In addition, to their employment through Rahab’s Rope, there have been a number of educational and rehabilitative programs developed for these women.
When Vicky is not busy on the Rahab’s Rope storefronts in Gainesville and at the Mall of Georgia, she is traveling to India to work directly with these women. She also enjoys going to the beach, snow skiing and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
We’d like to thank Vicky for her dedication to improving lives all around the world and for sitting down with us to answer a few questions about her life in Hall County, Georgia.
