The Atlanta Botanical Gardens Gainesville location is a great way to spend any day with friends and family. The Gardens have been a vision for Hall County for over a decade and the planning began over four years ago to expand the Atlanta Botanical Gardens into Gainesville, Hall County, the Gardens officially opened on May 2, 2015. When the Gardens opened this development was shown much love and support by daily visitors from the community and have continued to show love ever since.
The Gainesville location of the Botanical Gardens is spread across 168 acres of Hall County, this 168 acres allows a large variety of stunning plant life to admire as well as a portion of the stunning Lake Sidney Lanier in the background. The Botanical Gardens is a unique, and magical experience due to it being named the largest conservation nursery in the Southeast. This large spread of land also allows there to be many different areas to explore for everyone such as: the visitor center, amphitheater, blooming gardens, and even a toy train for the kids.
The botanical gardens host many programs, exhibitions, and events for everyone’s interest. The Botanical Gardens are family friendly and has full handicap access, and the gardens are also open to photography and filming to capture the beauty.
