Meet Tate Ruth! Tate is a part of North Hall High School’s graduating class of 2024. He is a running back for the Trojans and continually shines out on the field. Tate has lived in Hall County his entire life, his parents are Sean and Tricia and he has a sister; Mary Carter. He was nominated to be interviewed based on his performance on and off the field as a Trojan.
Tate said his favorite part about playing football at North Hall is, “spending time with my teammates on Friday night and competing.”
We want to thank Tate for taking the time to tell us more about his life and love of Hall County.
Question: What career do you aspire to go into and why?
Answer: “I aspire to be an electrician because everyone needs electricity and I feel it’s a very stable career.”
Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Hall County, and what do you love there?
A: “My favorite restaurant would have to be Sliced, I love their boneless wings.”
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met in Hall County and why?
A: “I would have to say the couple that works at Burger and Shake off of Mount Vernon, they are very nice people and take care of us every time we come in.”
Q: What is your favorite childhood memory?
A: “Running around Longstreet Hills playing manhunt with my best friends.”
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: “Montana, I love the views there and would love to trout fish and snowboard out there.”
Q: What is the first movie you remember seeing in a theater?
A: “‘Batman vs Superman.’”
Q: What advice would you give a crowd of people?
A: “Always remember the past, but focus on the future.”
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “Snowboarding in Switzerland.”
Q: What is your favorite music/three bands you want to see (dead or alive)?
A: “I would have loved to see the Grateful Dead, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and The Eagles.”
Q: What local business makes you the most nostalgic about Hall County and why?
A: “Definitely Longstreet, me and my friends used to eat there every Friday before elementary school.”
Q: Choosing anyone (past or present and a non-relative), with whom would you love to have lunch? And where locally would you have this lunch?
A: “Jerry Garcia at Sliced in Gainesville. Just to hear some of the stories and experiences he’s had playing and traveling with the rest of the band Grateful Dead.”
Q: What is your favorite thing about Hall County?
A: “The tradition and the community.”
Q: Where do you see yourself in five or 10 years?
A: “In five years I see myself working for an electrical company, and in 10 years I see myself owning my own company.”
Q: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
A: “I can do a bunch of different flips.”
Q: What three words mean “home” to you?
A: “Family, friends, lake.”
Q: If you were cast in a major motion picture and had your choice of anyone to be your costar, who would you choose and what would the film be about?
A: “It would be about two boys getting bit by a radioactive spider and traveling the world snowboarding using their powers, and my costar would be my friend Jake Wishousky.”
