Meet Anna Pardue! Anna is a senior at Gainesville High School. Her parents are Erik and Mary Lina Pardue; she has one sister: Morgan. Anna plans to attend the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega in the fall and study Kinesiology.
Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I am the oldest of 2 siblings; my sister, Morgan, is 4 years younger than me. My mom is Mary Lina Pardue and has lived in Gainesville her whole life. My dad, Erik Pardue, grew up in White County and has lived in Gainesville for 22 years.
What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Taqueria Tsunami and Chick-fil-A.
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I would travel to the Maldives because I love the beach and I want to swim in the clear waters!
What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
My favorite movie is 10 Things I Hate About You, my favorite TV show is Gilmore Girls.
If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
I would say to not take the time for granted because it really does fly and you’ll be walking across the stage before you know it!
If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
I would want to be in Gilmore Girls because their lives seem so eventful and interesting.
If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
I would choose to have lunch with Walt Disney at Cotto on the square because I want to ask him about how he made all of his ideas come to life with the Disney parks.
What is your favorite thing about our community?
I love how welcoming our community is. Whether someone has lived here for generations or just moved to town, our community welcomes them in and makes them feel at home.
Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I see myself finishing up physical therapy school and beginning my career as a physical therapist specializing in either pediatrics or neurological physical therapy.
What is something on your bucket list?
To travel to as many National Parks as I can.
What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
Taylor Swift.
Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
My favorite month is June because that is when I go to summer camp at Camp Glisson and do VBS with my church. My favorite holiday is Christmas, and my favorite single day is December 26th because it’s my birthday.
What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
Chick-fil-A waffle fries.
Who inspires you to be better?
My mom and dad.
