Meet Donna Allen, an assistant principal at Gainesville Middle School. Donna lives in Buckhead and commutes everyday to our community. Donna has worked in Hall County for 11 years and in the City of Atlanta School System previously. She says her favorite thing about working in the Gainesville City School System for so long is being able to watch the kids go from kindergarten to graduation. When we asked her about favorite local social events she said, “I love attending the athletic events and watching the kids. They really enjoy seeing a principal in the crowd.”
Along with being an educator Allen is a singer and some of her favorite artists include Coldplay, Sarah Vaughan, Donny Hathaway and the Les Miserable soundtrack.
Recently we visited Donna at Gainesville Middle School to catch up with her and find out her interests and thoughts on Hall County.
