Meet Dr. Jeffrey Shelley! Jeffrey is one of the orthodontist at Smile Doctors Braces by Wilson.
Dr. Shelley and his wife Shea recently moved to Hall County from Alabama and say they are loving every moment.
Jeffrey moved to the United States from England when he was young and spent most of his life living in Montgomery, Ala. He attended Auburn for his bachelor and master of science degree and then attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School for his dental degree.
We recently met with Dr. Shelley to learn more about his life and love of Hall County.
Question: What inspired or led you to your current career?
Answer: “When I was a kid I had really bad teeth and I loved my braces fixing that and giving me more confidence and so I knew that I wanted to give other children that same opportunity.”
Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Hall County?
A: “Scott’s Lounge; my wife and I always enjoy going to dinner at Scott’s.”
Q: How long have lived or worked in Hall County?
A: “Me and my wife have been in Gainesville for a couple of years and we like it a lot.”
Q: What advice would you give to a crowd of people?
A: “Put down the phones.”
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “Travel to Scotland on a golf trip with some good friends.”
Q: Choosing anyone alive and a non-relative with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? Where in Hall County would you have lunch?
A: “I would have lunch with Lance Armstrong at Mellow Mushroom.”
Q: What is your favorite thing about Hall County?
A: “Just the entire community, I love the people here and the location.”
Q: Where do you see yourself in five or 10 years?
A: “Starting a family and running a successful orthodontic practice.”
Q: What three words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word home?
A: “Auburn football, Southern cooking and the holidays.”
