Meet Dr. John Kennedy, Lakeview Academy headmaster and Hall County resident for the past seven years. Kennedy moved to Gainesville from Texas and is focused on leading Lakeview students to their fullest potential.
Kennedy lives by the school’s mission to “develop Capable, Confident and Contributing members of society through learning experiences which foster growth, creativity and character development.”
We thank Dr. Kennedy for taking a few minutes of his valuable time to answer a few questions about life in Hall County.
Question: What is your profession?
Answer: “I am an Educator,” says the Headmaster of Lakeview Academy, one of Northeast Georgia’s best private schools.
Q: What song reminds you most of Hall County?
A: “Free Bird.”
Q: Favorite social outing in Hall County?
A: “Running through Wilshire Trails Park.”
Q: What advice would you give to a crowd of people?
A: “Be nice.”
Q: Who are the top musicians you would want to see, alive or dead?
A: “The Who, Rolling Stones and The Clash. (I’ve seen all three!)”
Q: What makes you the most satisfied?
A: “Raising decent kids.”
Q: If you could have lunch with anyone who would it be?
A: “George Washington because he had the chance to be a dictator and walked away.”
Q: What is your spirit animal?
A: “A dog.”
Q: Who’s the most interesting person you’ve met while living here?
A: “Gus Whalen,” he said. The late Gus Whalen was the founder of the Featherbone Communiversity and local business man.
Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: “The Godfather.”
