Meet Sean Lumpkin! Sean is originally from South Georgia. He and his wife Ashley live here in downtown Gainesville. Sean the marketing director at The Norton Agency and also wears several other hats right now. A lot of his time is spent behind a camera at work or sitting at a piano. He aspires to be in the ministry one day. He loves the people he gets to meet and love on them through the things he has been blessed to do.
Question: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Answer: “HOPS Kitchen, Taco Madre, Consuelo, Vinny’s.”
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
A: “2 years.”
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
A: “Steve Lewallen.”
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: “Thailand, I love Asian culture and I really want to study hands on what it means to have and give honor.”
Q: What advice would you want to give or leave with people?
A: “Live a life for Jesus and not for you and see how full your life is.”
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today (and not a relative); with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
A: “I have two people I would invite. It would have to be Jackie Hill Perry and Preston Perry for the simple fact they have impacted my life from a distance so much and I would take them to HOPS Kitchen for a long and hard theology conversation. I want to get as much wisdom from them as possible.”
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
A: “Full time ministry”
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community? And secondly, what is something you hope our community has or does in the future?
A: “I love the unique food and coffee options here! I do hope for more diverse shopping. I feel like everyone has the same ideas and are copying each other. Shopping here is very bland.”
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “Travel to many places around the world as possible.”
Q: If reading for pleasure, what do you like?
A: “Leadership/Theology.”
Q: And what is something you have been proud to check off your bucket list?
A: “Living in another country for a period of time.”
Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
A: “Upper Room.”

A: “Albania.”
