Faces of Hall County: Tricia Sexton

By Brad Abernathy|2019-08-16T19:58:42+00:00August 16th, 2019|Faces of Hall County|0 Comments

Meet Tricia Sexton! Tricia is married to Blake, the couple has three sons (Carter, Cooper, and Conner) and she is the owner of 3CTutoring in Gainesville. You’ll most likely catch Tricia at a baseball game cheering on her boys, playing tennis or tutoring.
“I was born in a small town in Pennsylvania; Canton. I still try to go back at least once or twice a year if we can, typically for Christmas,” she said.
We want to thank Tricia for spending time with us recently and for telling us more about her life and love of Hall County.

Q: What led you to your current career?
A: “I’ve been tutoring for around 11 years, but I still teach at a private school, Trinity, two days a week. When I first started tutoring I was only doing from my home, but as it progressed more people wanted different subjects such as chemistry and Spanish, but I only taught math. I decided to get an office and hire people who could teach those subjects. We even have an acting voice coach that sometimes comes in.”

Q: What is your favorite thing about Hall County?
A: “I like that there’s a lake here! I did a lot of boating when I was young and I love going out on the lake, it’s so beautiful!”

Q: What is your favorite movie OR what is the first movie you remember seeing in the theater?
A: “One of my favorite movies I saw here was ‘The Avengers: End Game.’ We took the kids and it was so cool.”

Q: What’s your favorite restaurant in Gainesville or Hall County?
A: “My favorites are Chick-fil-a and Chipotle…of the more local restaurants I like are Avocados and Atlas.”

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?
A: “I would really like to travel to Australia.”

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “I really want to learn how to play the guitar and try to horseback ride.”

Q: What advice would you give a crowd of people?
A: “To love yourself and believe in yourself.”

Q: Where do you see yourself in five to 10 years?
A: “Running my business and I hope to have more free time so I can spend it with my kids.”

Q: What’s something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
A: “I played college softball and I love to sing (only in my car!)”

Q: What three words come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
A: “Carter, Cooper and Conner.”

Q: Who is the one of the most interesting person you’ve met here in Hall County?
A: “This is one of the hardest questions you’ve asked me, I can’t just say one person, I think this whole community is so special and welcoming.”
