Ginny Early, local floral designer and ultimate creative mind, recently designed a beautiful table setting for The Abernathy Cochran Group and she said her inspiration came from autumn colors and simplicity.
“CJ (Greene) and I met together and dreamed up a table that would feel special and incorporate autumn colors without looking too ‘fall-ish.’ I’ve been making hand-dyed table runners recently, so I began with one of these in a soft gray,” Ginny said. “I added simple, neutral plates and glassware and then threw in a highlight with my antique Thai brass flatware. This is hands-down my best-ever yard sale find! Simple brass votive holders were scattered around the table, and then three small flower arrangements were placed in an asymmetric line.”
Ginny added that one of her favorite things is to finish a table with fruit.
“I always love to finish tables with fresh fruit. The deep golden pears and ruby pomegranates brought in a seasonal touch that highlighted the dusky tones in the flowers,” she said. “The flowers were a few extra-special garden roses from an organic rose farm in California, set off with foraged greens, golden leaves and berries. Place cards with simple script were the finishing touch.”
