Meet Haylee Lloyd! Haylee is a recent Chestatee High School grad and plans to attend Young Harris College in the fall. We want to congratulate Haylee and her family on her recent graduation and best wishes in the future.

Question: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Answer: “I live with my mom who is the most important person in my life, and my older brother who is 22.”

Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: “I plan on attending Young Harris College and majoring in Biology.”

Q: What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A: “I like Chili’s and Pueblo’s.”

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: “I would like to travel to Turks and Caicos. The scenery there is stunning and I feel like it would be a great get away from reality for a little bit.”

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: “My favorite movie is ‘Blended’ and my favorite TV show is ‘Full House.'”

Q: If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
A: “The advice I would give to my senior class is this is how it was all meant to be and make the best of this situation. To the younger students I would tell them to experience as much as they can because you never know how or when it is going to end. Cherish every moment.”

Q: If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
A: “I would cast myself on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ because it is my dream to be a surgeon.”

Q: If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
A: “I would choose to have lunch with Harry Styles because of his nature of treating people with kindness and always having a loving heart. I would meet him at Atlas Pizza for lunch because I feel like it is a great local place for an outsider to experience.”

Q: What is your favorite thing about our community?
A: “My favorite thing about our community is all the parks and nature we are able to explore.”

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
A: “I see my self in med school.”

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “Something on my bucket list is to stay on a Bungalow on the water in Bora Bora.”

Q: What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
A: “Harry Styles.”

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
A: “My favorite month would have to be December. My favorite holiday and single day on the calendar would be Christmas because it is a day where everyone seems to be much happier.”

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
A: “I would rate our community’s care for others a 10 out of 10.”

Q: What is something you want to do as soon as this pandemic is finished?
A: “I want to spend a ton of time with my friends, and go hug my grandparents because I have not been able to do that.”

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
A: “My mom inspires me to be a better person. She pushes me to do things I usually wouldn’t do on my own, and I am grateful she does that because it pushes me out of my comfort zone. She has always been an inspiration and great example to me because of everything she has done for me.”
