Meet John Orr! John is a senior at North Hall High School. He plans to attend the University of North Georgia in the fall. We want to congratulate John and his family on his upcoming graduation and best wishes in the future.

Question: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Answer: “My sister and I are both 3rd generation Trojans. My mom and dad were both born and raised in Hall County. My mom works at the University of North Georgia and my dad works at Baldor Electric.”

Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: “I plan to attend the University of North Georgia and earn a bachelors degree in Early Education.”

Q: What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A: “I love going to Senior Fiesta and Taco Bell with my friends.”

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: “New York City, I had the opportunity to go their freshman year on a field trip and I would love to go their again and be able to explore it in my own time.”

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: “Favorite movie is ‘Jurassic Park’ and favorite TV Show is ‘Criminal Minds.'”

Q: If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
A: “I think this year shows that sometimes life is just going to give you rotten lemons but you still have to figure out how to make lemonade.”

Q: If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
A: “‘Criminal Minds.'”

Q: If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
A: “Gabriel Iglesias, because I think he is absolutely hilarious and I would meet him at Cook Out Grill.”

Q: What is your favorite thing about our community?
A: “I love the way people come together when they are needed in the community.”

Q: Where do you see yourself in five to 10 years?
A: “In five years I see myself finishing up my first year of being a teacher. In 10 years I see myself starting online studies to earn my masters degree.”

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “Learn to speak another language.”

Q: What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
A: “Adele.”

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
A: “March Christmas October 29th, 2016 (first time teaching).”

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
A: “My moms chicken casserole.”

Q: What is something you want to do as soon as this pandemic is finished?
A: “Hang out with my friends at Taco Bell.”

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
A: “My Aunt Cindy.”
