Meet Symone Turner! Symone is a senior at Gainesville High School and plans to attend the University of Georgia in the fall. Her parents are Derrick and Tarra Turner and she has a brother and a sister. We want to congratulate Symone and her family on her upcoming graduation and best wishes in the future.

Question: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Answer: “My parents are Tarra and Derrick Turner. I have one brother, Gage Turner and a half sister, Noelle Turner.”

Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: “After graduation, I plan to attend the University of Georgia and major in biology on a pre med track.”

Q: What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A: “My favorite restaurants in our community are Bluefin and Sliced.”

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: “If I could travel anywhere in the world right now, I would go to Destin, Fla. because I was suppose to go with all my friends for spring break.”

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: “My favorite movie is the ‘Greatest Showman’ and my favorite TV show is ‘Grey’s Anatomy.'”

Q: If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
A: “Advice to my senior class would be to keep your heads up because we will get through this. Advice to to younger students would be spend as much time as you can with your friends while y’all are all together.”

Q: If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
A: “I would want to be casted in ‘Grey’s Anatomy.'”

Q: If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
A: “I would have lunch with Alex Morgan because she is such an inspirational soccer player. We would have lunch at Honey Baked Ham because they have healthy sandwiches and I’m sure a pro athlete eats healthy.”

Q: What is your favorite thing about our community?
A: “My favorite thing about our community is how everyone supports one another. There is always someone cheering you on no matter what you’re doing.”

Q: Where do you see yourself in five to 10 years?
A: “In five to 10 years I see my self graduating nursing school and starting work as a pediatric nurse practitioner.”

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “Going to Bora Bora is on my bucket list.”

Q: What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
A: “My go to is Dan + Shay.”

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
A: “My favorite month is September because it’s football season and the weather is nice. My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving because the food is amazing. The best day on the calendar is November 5th because that’s my birthday.”

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
A: “A late night drive in the summer with all the windows down blasting music and singing songs with my friends.”

Q: What is something you want to do as soon as this pandemic is finished?
A: “Hug all my friends.”

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
A: “My nana.”
