Meet Natalie Hernandez! Natalie is a senior at Gainesville High School and will attend Lanier Tech in the fall. Her parents are Isaac Hernandez and Ximena Sanabria and she has one brother, Issac. We want to congratulate Natalie and her family on her upcoming graduation and best wishes in the future.

Question: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Answer: “I am the daughter of Ximena Sanabria and Isaac Hernandez. My parents together own an ice cream shop called Los Scoops, and my mom also works at the hospital. I have a younger brother named Isaac and we are 16 years apart!”

Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: “I am still super undecided about if I want go for medical or law. I have already dual enrolled with Lanier Tech so for now I plan to stay there and get my minor in business and hopefully by then have decided which path I want to take and transfer somewhere else.”

Q: What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A: “Longstreet Cafe and Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen.”

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: “Colombia, my mom is from there and the last time I went to visit my family there was about nine years ago.”

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: “My favorite movie would be ‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’ and show would be ‘Atypical.'”

Q: If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
A: “Don’t take any moment for granted! Enjoy every single moment and make tons of memories with your friends. The moment you become a senior it feels like just yesterday you were new to high school and the year starts going by so fast. Get involved in clubs, go to sporting events, take any and every opportunity you get and make the best of it.”

Q: If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
A: “‘All American.'”

Q: If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
A: “Jordan Baker from ‘All American’ because he is so cute!! I would meet him at Atlas Pizza because he seems like you could never go wrong with a pizza type of guy.”

Q: What is your favorite thing about our community?
A: “The diversity of people we have. It’s super small so we are very close knit and no matter where you go you see all types of ethnicities mixed together. Being hispanic, it feels nice to go out and interact with and meet all sorts of people and feel welcome.”

Q: Where do you see yourself in five to 10 years?
A: “Graduating college as well as starting it again to achieve the highest degree possible in my career choice, while starting my dream career.”

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “To travel the world.”

Q: What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
A: “Bad Bunny.”

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
A: “My favorite month is June because it’s when summer starts and my birthday month. Favorite holiday is Halloween, and best single day is the 7th because it’s my favorite number.”

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
A: “A Chick-fil-A sandwich with no pickles and American cheese with a Powerade to drink.”

Q: What is something you want to do as soon as the pandemic is finished?
A: “Get to see my friends and go to the beach, lake, or pool with them.”

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
A: “My mom for sure, she constantly pushes me to be the best at anything I do.”
