Expert Advice is Worth GOLD
One year ago, who knew what would unfold for 2020? We are now entering into the anniversaries of some crazy events that happened last year. To make an important decision now you should get the advice from an expert. In any field there are just a handful of “experts” to help you, lead you, act for you.
The real estate market in Hall County Georgia is transforming before our eyes in multiple ways. One such change are the people involved.
In 2015, there were very few Real Estate Companies in Hall County. I happen to work for The Norton Agency, which has been here in this community since 1928.
In 2020, there were dozens of Real Estate Companies at work in Hall County, but most of the new ones are virtual and / or have no brick and mortar locations in our community. Their leaders, for the most part, are not here locally, and their decisions are made on a national level.
In 2015, there were 1,171 different agents or groups that sold real estate in our county.
In 2020, the number of agents selling in Hall County more than doubled to 2,374.
81% of the agents that sold property in Hall County in 2020 closed 3 or less transactions. These are not your experts!
5 of the 2,374 agents or groups sold 50 or more properties.
Only 1 group sold 100 or more properties. That group was my group, The Abernathy Cochran Group.
We would love for you to choose us to help you with real estate, but if you do not we certainly suggest you finding someone in our field that is active, full time, and successful. Nationally, 80% of real estate agents are in and out of the business within 2 years and 90% of agents are in and out of the business within 5 years.
Thousands of signs, shingles, and cards are in our market. Our advice to you is to choose wisely. We may not be perfect, but we will give you the best advice possible based on the information and situation at hand and guide you through the process to help you make the necessary adjustments and best decisions along the way.
Bottom Line
If you’re thinking of buying or selling this year, contact a local real estate professional to make sure you get the best advice possible. We hope you will call us. Thank you.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about yourself and your family.
A: “I grew up in Gainesville and went to Gainesville High School. I then went to Auburn University, where I met my wife, Kristin. We have two children; a son, Stuart who is a freshman at Lakeview, and a daughter, Callie, a 7th grader at Lakeview. My son played football this year, and my daughter played volleyball and swims on the swim team, so we’ve had fun watching them playing sports.”
Q: What advice would you give a crowd of people?
A: “Be yourself, never settle, always strive for excellence and work really hard for what you believe in.”
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
