Meet Abby Griffin! Abby is a senior at Gainesville High School and will be attending Georgia College and State University in the fall. Her parents are Randy and Jennifer Griffin. We want to congratulate Abby and her family on her upcoming graduation and best wishes in the future.

Question: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
A: “My parents are Randy and Jennifer Griffin and I have an older brother, Will and a younger sister, Emma.”

Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: “I will be attending Georgia College and State University.”

Q: What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A: “Mellow Mushroom and El Sombrero.”

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: “I would travel to Greece to learn about the history and the culture.”

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: “My favorite TV show is ‘New Girl’ and my favorite movie is anything Disney.”

Q: If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
A: “Get involved in anything and everything and enjoy your time.”

Q: If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
A: “‘Grey’s Anatomy.'”

Q: If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
A: “I would choose Dolly Parton because of her past and how she has made such a legacy and great name for herself. I would take her to lunch at Longstreet.”

Q: What is your favorite thing about our community?
A: “My favorite thing about our community is being able to see familiar faces everywhere and having such a connection and a support system for each other.”

Q: Where do you see yourself in five to 10 years?
A: “I see myself hopefully continuing my education further and starting to settle down. I also hope to be traveling the world in my spare time.”

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: “Something on my bucket list is that I want to travel to every state in the U.S. by the time I’m 40.”

Q: What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
A: “The Dixie Chicks.”

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
A: “My favorite month is December and my favorite holiday is Christmas. The best day on the calendar is July 4th.

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
A: “10.”

Q: What is something you want to do as soon as this pandemic is finished?
A: “Be able to hang out with my friends and have something close to the ‘senior experience’ that we have always dreamed of.”

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
A: “My granny.”
