Meet Lillian VanTassel! Lillian is a senior at Gainesville High School. After graduation Lillian plans to study sports media marketing. We want to congratulate Lillian and her family on her upcoming graduation and best wishes on your future endeavors.

Please tell us a little bit about your family.
A: “My dad is Mark VanTassel, my mom and step dad are Daphnie and Michael Barron and I have two brothers Brady and William.”

Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: “I’m still deciding where to go to college but I plan to study sports media marketing.”

Q: What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A: “Definitely Atlas Pizza and Longstreet.”

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: “Bora Bora, it’s definitely on the top of my list of places to travel to due to the clear water and just the beauty of the nature and wildlife there.”

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: “My favorite movie is ‘Lilo and Stitch’ and my favorite show is either ‘Hawaii Five-O’ or ‘All American.'”

Q: If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
A: “Let’s all learn to cherish the little things and the time with friends a little more, especially after the quarantine. Value where you are in the present and don’t wish high school away so fast, you only get to experience it once. So go all out for spirit days and student section themes, and cherish every moment.”

A: “‘All American.'”

Q: If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
A: “Chrissy Teigen, she’s confident and I’d love to have a conversation on self confidence with her. Definitely at Atlas pizza.”

Q: What is your favorite thing about our community?
A: “The way everyone rally’s together in hard times. You really see people come together even when we have big high school rivalries. Everyone can come together as one.”
