Looking to find your inner-peace? Call Emilie Cook, a yoga instructor here in Gainesville. Her studio, Find Your Center Yoga, is located in Main Street Market on the Downtown Gainesville square.
As a yoga instructor, Cook hands out advice from time to time on how to find that inner peace we are all looking for. Her words of wisdom are to “hold your shoulders up, you’re closing your heart off, and your heart needs to be more open.”
Cook grew up not far from Hall County in Woodstock and has lived in Gainesville for the last 12 years and also attended Brenau University. She is the mother of three daughters, a lover of pets and the outdoors. She said right now she is the most satisfied with her life because she feels like she has parenting down!
As a lover of the arts, she of course gravitated to those types of personalities in the community. One of her best friends is Fox Gradin, a local artist and photographer. They share the top level of Main Street Market.
She enjoys many local activities and events including spending time with friends, “especially, her musical ones,” and she said she really enjoys a fairly new addition to the area, Tap It.
The local growler filling station has special events throughout the month, featuring the latest in craft beer and wine. It also is one of the only local establishments that draws food trucks to the area from the Atlanta metro.
